The VP-200 Globe Vaporizer, or the VP-200 conduction Heating Globe Vaporizer, was first introduced into the marketplace in 2008 and is manufactured in China. As the name may well suggest, it is a globe style unit that uses a heating method of conduction. The unit encompasses a metal base and a glass dome and there is also a specific hotplate that is designed to hold your blend after the VP-200 Globe Vaporizer has heated up.

The VP-200 Globe Vaporizer appears to be rather difficult to operate. You will typically need to remove the glass globe to insert your blend onto the hotplate. However trying to remove the glass globe may be far more difficult than you would expect. You will also find that the whip will require cleaning after each use.

The VP-200 Globe Vaporizer requires 10 to 15 minutes to heat up and this is considered an extremely slow heating up time for any vaporizer. There are many more vaporizers in the marketplace, that are far easier to use, and can heat up in a matter of minutes. The long heating up time may have much to do with the use of conduction heating technology.

The VP-200 Globe Vaporizer does not appear to be able to do the job that it is intended for. Whereas many vaporizers merely require the temperature dial to be set to 3/4 power to produce a vapour, the VP-200 Globe Vaporizer actually struggles to produce any type of vapour, even when set at the highest temperature setting.

One advantage of the VP-200 Globe Vaporizer is the fact that the body has been upgraded. The initial body was made from a heat resistant plastic, but has now been replaced with a far heavier and stronger metallic alloy. Due to the body being heavier, you will find that the unit now has far better balance than before and there is far less chance of it tilting.

The VP-200 Globe Vaporizer comes with no manufacturer’s warranty, which should act as a warning sign. Although many vaporizers only have a few months warranty, this is still usually enough to provide you with some peace of mind. However if you are dissatisfied with this unit, which many users are, you have no way of getting your money back.

The VP-200 Globe Vaporizer has a complicated design and appears unable to actually produce sufficient heat to vaporize your blend. This will produce nothing more than a very poor vapour and will, no doubt, leave you extremely frustrated. The VP-200 Globe Vaporizer retails at approximately $85 however it is not recommended as there are many more similarly priced vaporizers in the marketplace that can do a far better job.
