The VP-800 Globe Vaporizer was introduced into the vaporizer marketplace in 2007 and is manufactured in China. It comprises of a wooden base and glass dome and is a direct inhalation and Globe style unit. The body was initially constructed from a heat resistant plastic, but has since been changed to a cherry wood frame finish. As the wood is heavier than plastic, this actually provides this unit with additional balance and allows it to remain steady and not tilt.

The VP-800 Globe Vaporizer makes use of a blend holder or hot plate. This will allow you to place your blend directly onto the hot plate and allow conduction to occur in order to complete the vaporization process. Unfortunately however, this unit has been known to cause numerous problems. Possibly the worst of these problems is that many users have complained that little, or no, vapour is produced. This is even the case when the VP-800 Globe Vaporizer has its analogue temperature gauge turned to its highest temperature setting.

The VP-800 Globe Vaporizer takes approximately 20 minutes to warm up, which is considered completely unacceptable. The majority of decent vaporizers in the marketplace will require under 5 minutes to heat up. The cooling down period with this unit will also take approximately 20 minutes. When you consider that the VP-800 Globe Vaporizer uses conduction heating technology to heat your blend or herbs, it can be severely disappointing to have to wait such a long time for minimal results.

The VP-800 Globe Vaporizer comes with no manufacturer’s warranty, which is actually a subtle clue for what is about to come. Although many vaporizers merely have a few months warranty, at least you know that if the unit is not for you, you have an opportunity to get your money back. However as the VP-800 Globe Vaporizer offers no warranty, it is hardly surprising that you are faced with so many problems when trying to use it.

The VP-800 Globe Vaporizer retails at approximately $90 however you should not be fooled by this low-cost. There are numerous vaporizers in the marketplace that come with the same, or lower, price tag, but should be considered a far higher standard. The VP-800 Globe Vaporizer appears to be unable to produce sufficient heat to vaporize any specific herbs or blends. If you also take into consideration that this unit comes with no manufacturer’s warranty, it can only be considered unreliable and it is therefore not recommended for either novices or vaporization experts. As mentioned, there are many other vaporizers that fall within the same price range and they will actually do the job that they are intended for!
